A shoreline where the world ends. Black volcanic rock. Mist clings to a still sea. AYA, 19, stands at the water's edge, staring at her own reflection.

AYA
(to herself)
They say she turned men to stone with a single glance. But no one ever asks what she saw before she looked away.

The fog stirs. A figure steps forward — the ORACLE, ageless, wrapped in dark linen.

ORACLE
You've come a long way to stand at the edge of nothing.

AYA
I came for answers.

ORACLE
(measured, deliberate)
Answers have teeth, child. They bite the hand that reaches for them.

AYA
My mother's name has been a curse for a thousand years. I want the truth of it.

ORACLE
Then hear it. Medusa did not ask to be feared. She was made into a weapon by those who could not bear her power.

A low tremor moves through the ground. Aya steadies herself on the rocks.

AYA
Then I'll finish what she started.

ORACLE
(slowly, with weight)
No, child. You'll decide what it means to begin.
